Hi! I’m Ferg. I moved to Mooloolaba to help build a financial advice practice, where I now help individuals, families, and business owners create clarity and confidence around their wealth, retirement, and succession plans.
As a Wealth Advisor and Retirement Planner, I’m passionate about helping clients make informed, strategic decisions across all areas of their financial life — from cashflow, Super and investments to personal insurance, tax, and estate planning.
Since joining the Sunshine Coast Young Chamber of Commerce, I’ve not only met an incredible group of likeminded professionals but also built genuine referral partnerships. Many of the connections I’ve made have become trusted professionals that I confidently refer my clients to — people who are not only competent and professional, but also easy going and genuinely invested in helping others succeed.
When the opportunity came to join the committee, I didn’t hesitate. I’m excited to give back to a community that’s already been such a valuable part of my professional growth and to help strengthen this network of driven young professionals on the Coast.
Outside of work, I’m usually checking out new cafes, enjoying the beach, or catching up with friends over a good coffee. Please come and say hi at the next event!

Hi! My name is James Tomney. I moved here to the Sunshine Coast around seven years ago to start working for Worrells, where I am now an Executive Analyst dealing with both personal and corporate insolvency matters.
I’m a Certified Practicing Accountant (“CPA”) and am also a graduate member of the Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association.
Since I started attending, I’ve found the events organised by the Young Chamber immensely beneficial and a great way to meet likeminded people looking to make an impact.
When the opportunity came to become an ambassador for the Young Chamber, it was something I said yes to straight away and I’m really excited to become even more involved in the growing network of young professionals here on the Sunshine Coast.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy training jiu jitsu and trying to find the best breakfast spots the Coast has to offer. If I haven’t had the chance to meet you yet, please make sure to say hi at the next Young Chamber event!

Hi, I’m Brendan and I run Lead Seeker, a digital marketing agency designed to help small to medium service-based businesses thrive through paid advertising and website development.
Through my years in agency roles, I saw where large agencies were missing the mark, which inspired me to start my own business to provide high-quality, tailored services that truly support small businesses in their growth.
I’m excited to join the SCYCC team and bring my passion for business growth and marketing to support the Chamber and it’s members. Growing up on the Sunshine Coast, it’s great to have the opportunity to give back to the community and play a role in fostering it’s growth and success.
Ambassador Team

Miranda McLennan
Miranda McLennan

Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to have had a number of exceptional mentors who shared their profound experiences and lessons learnt with me. These lessons have carried into how I conduct myself as a leader within my own team to this day.
For me, becoming an ambassador means I’m able to open the door for other young professionals who perhaps haven’t had the opportunity to lean on or learn from a mentor. I attribute much of my success to my ability to network, and so encourage others to prioritise connection and personal lives. I’m always eager to help and provide guidance to others, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if inclined whether for business or personal development.
