The Young Professionals of Sunshine Coast

Founded in 2020, the Sunshine Coast Young Chamber of Commerce (SCYCC) is a network platform created to support young, driven professionals pushing to make an impact in the business and professional world on the Sunshine Coast and beyond.

With a strong culture developing on the Sunshine Coast of young individuals pushing to the boundaries and changing the way things are done in business, the SCYCC network offers an essential platform to embrace this movement.

The younger generation of professionals are not only complimenting the current local business environment, but taking their own unique approach and having real influence in their industries. Our purpose and goal is to nurture this drive and allow for an environment where members can have fun, connect, grow and make an impact with access to a trusted group of fellow professionals for support, collaboration and referrals. Having a platform to support each other is crucial in driving this culture forward and we are stoked to play a role in this!

Who can join the SCYCC?

The Sunshine Coast Young Chamber of Commerce welcomes those who:
– Are a young professional under 35 years of age
– Own your own business OR are an employee in a role where you want to progress and make an impact through your work
– Want to meet new people, hear their stories, connect with them and build an authentic relationship with them
– Want to help others in any way you can
– Are driven and motivated
– Want to make a positive impact on the Sunshine Coast
– Want to get involved in the Sunshine Coast community
– Are keen to better yourself and your business/profession
– Are open to opportunities
– Want to make new friends and set the roots of your business/profession on the Sunshine Coast.

How often are the events?

The events are monthly. We host a coffee and connect once a month and also have monthly guest speaker events.

How do I join?

You can join by following the link to the Maroochy Chamber of Commerce website here. We can’t wait to meet you!

Do I have to own a business to join?

No, most certainly not! Some of our members are lawyers, real estate agents and accountants who work for a company they do not own. You can be a driven young professional wanting to get ahead in your own role as an employee or as a business owner.

Yes, you will need to be living on the Sunshine Coast to join in order to attend our events and get involved in the Sunshine Coast community!

We suggest following our Facebook page to see what we are all about and get a feel for the types of people who will be meeting at each event. If you get a good vibe, we’d love to have you join our chamber!

What is the cost?

The membership is $97 per year.

The Young Chamber of Commerce membership provides you with access to a wide community of experienced and successful business professionals on the Sunshine Coast, mentorship, industry support and a platform for the younger generation in our community to have a voice.
